Pope Leo XIV: ‘Many are exploited by the violent today; what should be bread for all becomes the possession of the few’

Rome, 20 April (LaPresse) – Today, “many of people’s desires are thwarted by the violent, exploited by the arrogant and deceived by wealth. When injustice corrupts hearts, the bread of all becomes the possession of the few. Faced with these evils, Christ hears the cry of the people and renews our history: from every fall he lifts us up, in every suffering he comforts us, in our mission he encourages us". So said Pope Leo XIV during his homily at the Mass he presided over in Saurimo, Angola.
