Milan, 26 March (LaPresse) Journalists working for national newspapers, magazines, press agencies, online publications, television and radio stations will go on strike for 24 hours on Friday 27 March 2026. The strike is “to demand the renewal of a contract that expired 10 years ago, with salaries eroded by inflation that have lost 20% of their purchasing power.” The National Press Federation is calling for “dignity for journalistic work and guarantees for the future of the media”. “We are dealing with a contract tied to business models that no longer exist and which guarantees privileges that are no longer sustainable,” replied the publishers of the Fieg.
