Campobasso, 18 March (LaPresse) – A late winter snap has brought snow back to Molise, with precipitation particularly affecting inland and mountainous areas. Since yesterday evening, heavy snowfall has been reported in Upper Molise, with Capracotta completely blanketed in snow, whilst lighter snowfall has also affected the regional capital, Campobasso. The sharp drop in temperatures is linked to the arrival of cold air from the Balkans, which has caused the snow line to drop to 600 metres. Weather conditions remain unstable and further snowfall is expected tomorrow, 19 March. No major issues have been reported regarding road conditions so far, and schools in the regional capital are open as usual.
