Bergamo, Jan 12 (LaPresse) – The hearing before the Bergamo Court of Assizes, presided over by Patrizia Ingrasì, begins with the request for acquittal for not having committed the act, concerning Moussa Sangare, an Italian of Malian origin, accused of the murder of the 33-year-old bartender, stabbed to death on the night between July 29 and 30, 2024, in Terno d’Isola, in the province of Bergamo. “It has emerged, during the trial, the profile of the defendant that prevents him from feeling empathy or taking responsibility,” said lawyer Giacomo Maj, Sangare’s defense attorney. “This cannot be used against him.” Maj highlighted that the “task” of the defense is “to ensure that the penalty is applied according to the law,” evaluating “whether to apply life imprisonment,” as requested by the Bergamo public prosecutor, Emanuele Marchisio, during last December’s requisition, “or a temporary sentence.”
