Naples, 10 January (LaPresse) – A search warrant issued by the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office was executed by the State Police against a 52-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, who were found to be involved in the creation and management of the Facebook page “Mia moglie”, which was the subject of numerous reports last August to the Postal Police website “www.commissariatodips.it”. The owner of the account used to manage the Facebook group was also identified as a 70-year-old man from Lecce who died on 30 March. During the searches, carried out by specialised officers from the Postal Police and Cyber Security Service, the Cosc in Bari and the Sosc in Lecce, computer devices were seized and will be analysed to determine the responsibilities of those under investigation. Following the report by the Postal Police, the group, consisting of thousands of users who shared and commented on images of women, referred to in the comments as wives or partners, published without the consent of the people portrayed, was permanently closed by the Facebook social platform, which collaborated with the investigators.
