Rome, 26 December (LaPresse) – A car transformed into a veritable Christmas tree was stopped by the Bari Traffic Police during checks on city streets and the ring road. The vehicle in question was a Mercedes GLC entirely covered with multicoloured mini-LEDs, installed by the owner for a Christmas-themed display, which was also documented on social networks. However, the lights posed a potential danger to traffic, disturbing the visibility of other motorists and creating possible confusion with road signs and traffic lights. Investigations revealed that the necessary authorisations from the Motorisation Authority for the modifications made to the vehicle were not in place. The driver, a 30-year-old man, was therefore issued with an administrative fine and the vehicle was banned from circulation until it was restored to its original condition.
