Rome, 18 December (LaPresse) – Eight activists from the Turin antagonist area were subject to local and personal searches carried out this morning by the police, who also inspected the Askatasuna social centre in Turin. During the searches, aimed at gathering evidence to ascertain the alleged crimes (private violence, aggravated personal injury, interruption of public service, aggravated damage, violence and aggravated resistance to public officials, road block in conspiracy), electronic devices, clothing used during the violent actions and smoke bombs were seized. The audio-visual material acquired will then be analysed to identify further perpetrators and define the framework of personal responsibilities. Today's operation is part of the activities already initiated by the Digos (Special Operations Group) following the violent protests that took place in Turin in recent months, namely the occupation of the tracks at Porta Nuova and Porta Susa stations on 22 and 24 September, the attack on Leonardo SpA on 3 October, the intrusions at the Officine Grandi Riparazioni on 2 October, at the headquarters of the Metropolitan City on 14 November and at the headquarters of the daily newspaper La Stampa on 28 November.
