Public Health, 360,000 requests for the psychologist bonus but resources only for 6,300

Rome, 20 November (LaPresse) – ‘Over 360,000 applications were received for the Psychologist Bonus, but due to the limited funds available this year, only 6,300 applications can be accepted.’ This was announced by the association in a statement. "It's a measure that works: every euro invested returns 11 in INPS savings in recovered working hours. But too little is being invested in it,‘ the statement reads. For this reason, the Pubblica association, which coordinates the “Right to Well-being” campaign, is launching an appeal: ’It is essential to continue to support the proposed popular initiative law to establish a national public psychology service in Italy and a permanent fund for public-private financing of the Psychologist Bonus." Through the “Right to Wellbeing” campaign, over 60,000 signatures have already been collected and the bill will be submitted to the Senate in mid-December. The aim is a structural reform of the psychology system to make psychological wellbeing a guaranteed right and not a luxury for the few. "We predicted this in the summer and today we have confirmation: many, many applicants for the 2025 Psychologist Bonus will be left out,“ emphasises Francesco Maesano, national coordinator of the Right to Wellbeing campaign. 'Our bill, on the other hand, identifies the resources for financing the Psychologist Bonus for 100% of those who, having the requirements, apply for it, through a mixed system of public and private financing in the form of tax relief”.
