Milan, 20 Nov. (LaPresse) – The Court of Assizes of Bologna sentenced Giampiero Gualandi, 64, former commander of the local police of Anzola dell'Emilia, to life imprisonment for the murder of Sofia Stefani, 33, a former traffic warden with whom he had had an extramarital affair. The Court issued the sentence after a long deliberation. Deputy prosecutor Lucia Russo had requested life imprisonment.
