Milan, 17 November (LaPresse) – The Brescia Review Court has overturned for the third time in a month the seizure order against the former deputy prosecutor of Pavia, Mario Venditti, in the investigation into corruption in judicial proceedings concerning the 2017 dismissal of Andrea Sempio from the Garlasco murder case, a case in which the 37-year-old's father, Giuseppe Sempio, is under investigation as an alleged briber with “20-30 thousand euros”. The judges accepted the appeal by lawyer Domenico Aiello against the seizure order issued by public prosecutor Claudia Moregola and the Brescia prosecutor, Francesco Prete, on 24 October. On 17 October, the Review Court ordered the return of three telephones, two PCs, two iPads, two hard drives and two USB sticks belonging to the retired magistrate, which had been seized during the searches on 26 September. In that case, the judges had kept two paper diaries in seizure. Subsequently, a second seizure was annulled – concerning not the investigation into Garlasco but the alleged “Pavia system”.
