Daylight saving time: 352,000 signatures to apply it all year round

Milan, 16 November (LaPresse) – Italy begins the process of introducing daylight saving time all year round. On Monday, 17 November, at 2:30 p.m. in the press room of the Chamber of Deputies, journalists will be presented with the fact-finding survey promoted by the Productive Activities Commission aimed at initiating the parliamentary process to introduce permanent daylight saving time in Italy. At the same time, on 17 November, the Italian Society of Environmental Medicine (Sima) and Consumerismo no Profit will deliver to the Chamber, in the person of Andrea Barabotti, promoter of the fact-finding survey, 352,000 signatures of citizens who, through the online petition launched by the two organisations, are calling for the adoption of daylight saving time throughout the year.
