Palermo, 14 November (LaPresse) – Totò Cuffaro's preliminary hearing before Palermo magistrate Cristina Lo Bue lasted less than half an hour. The former governor and former national secretary of the New Christian Democracy party left the courthouse with his lawyers, Giovanni Di Benedetto and Marcello Montalbano. Cuffaro did not answer the judge's questions, exercising his right to remain silent, but made spontaneous statements. After Cuffaro, his right-hand man Vito Raso, DC regional deputy Carmelo Pace and mediator Antonio Abbonato will be questioned.
