Milan, Nov. 10 (LaPresse) – Moussa Sangare, the 31-year-old in prison on charges of murdering Sharon Verzeni by stabbing her on the night between July 29 and 30, 2024, in Terno d'Isola, in the province of Bergamo, confirmed his retraction, already made in court on March 18. The 31-year-old also retracted his confession during today's hearing before the Court of Bergamo, during which the civil parties, the woman's family, and her partner, Sergio Ruocco, were heard. Sangare confirmed what he had already said when he retracted his confession after his arrest, explaining to the court that he was only a witness to the fatal ambush and did not kill the woman himself. The hearing was adjourned until December 16 for the closing arguments of the parties, while the replies and the verdict are scheduled for January 12, 2026.
