In recent days, we have prayed for the dead, among whom, unfortunately, there are many who were killed in combat and bombings, even though they were civilians, children, the elderly, and the sick. If we truly want to honour their memory, let us cease fire and commit to negotiations." Pope Leo XIV said this after reciting the Angelus in St. Peter's Square.
