Cagliari, 6 November (LaPresse) – Tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at the courthouse in Cagliari, the Court of Appeal will hear the appeal filed by the president of the Region of Sardinia, Alessandra Todde, on the case of forfeiture. Judge Maria Antonella Sechi will preside over the civil section. Following the recent ruling by the Constitutional Court on the conflict of powers between the State and the Region, Todde's lawyers will argue that the matter in dispute has been settled, considering that the underlying issue has now been overcome. The defence brief filed by Riccardo Fercia, lawyer for the guarantee board that was subsequently revoked, has also been contested, and Todde's defence will request its removal from the proceedings. It is unlikely that tomorrow's hearing will lead to a final decision: a postponement to 27 November is considered likely. On that date, the Court of Appeal is also expected to examine the other appeals filed by some regional councillors.
