Rome, Sept. 29 (LaPresse) – “After numerous requests to postpone the discussion on the extraordinary wage guarantee fund (CIGS) to give unions and workers the necessary elements, the Ministry of Labour has decided to close the procedure, allowing the company to proceed unilaterally.”

This was stated in a joint note by the general secretaries of Fim, Fiom, and Uilm – Ferdinando Uliano, Michele De Palma, and Rocco Palombella – who also announced a state of permanent mobilization.

“As trade unions, we do not accept this unprecedented and extremely serious action by the Ministry of Labour. All this comes in the wake of the disastrous outcome of the tender, which confirmed the absence of industrial players interested in acquiring the entire Group,” they said.
