Rome, 17 September (LaPresse) – The preliminary hearing judge in Rome has authorised the summons, as civilly liable parties, of the two healthcare facilities where Andrea Purgatori was hospitalised prior to his death in July 2023. As part of the investigation into the journalist's death, four doctors are under investigation by the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of manslaughter. The preliminary hearing judge at the Court of Rome also admitted the summons of an insurance company and recognised the right of the journalist's family members to bring a civil action in the proceedings.
