Pope, "A World of Peace": best wishes from the children of Bambin Gesù for Leo XIV

Rome, Sept. 13 (LaPresse) – A world at peace and of peace: this is the gift that the young patients of the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital want to offer Pope Leo XIV for his 70th birthday, which falls on September 14. With drawings made in the playroom of the Holy See’s Hospital, the children accompany the desire expressed by the pontiff since the day of his election: peace for everyone and for the whole world. "God does not want war, He wants peace, and supports those who commit to breaking the cycle of hatred and following the path of dialogue," Pope Leo reiterated from St. Peter’s Square during last Sunday’s Angelus, and children of every nationality, religion, and culture, who bring the drawings to life with smiling faces, give him their joyful support. With the hope that the Pope may be the right person to find the ways of dialogue: “Don’t worry, I’ve got this,” says Leo in one of the drawings, waving the flag of peace, between a dove holding an olive branch and St. Peter’s Basilica colored white and yellow like the Vatican flag. “We love you a world of good, Pope Leo the Fourteenth”: this is the big embrace coming to the pontiff from the children of the Bambino Gesù Hospital on his birthday.
