Vatican City (Vatican), 1 Sept. (LaPresse) – "Dear friends: I was honoured and grateful to meet the Holy Father this morning in audience at the Apostolic Palace, and I was moved to hear the same message I heard from Pope Francis on LGBTQ Catholics, which is one of openness and acceptance. I found Pope Leo to be serene, joyful and encouraging. For me, it was a deeply comforting meeting. Pray for the Holy Father." This was written on Instagram by Father James Martin, a Jesuit committed to LGBT people, who was received in audience by Leo XIV this morning. Father Martin will be present at the events of the jubilee pilgrimage of “La tenda di Gionata” (Jonathan's Tent) and other associations to be held on 5 and 6 September.
