Milan, 16 August (LaPresse) – A 20-year-old man died this afternoon in the waters of the Adda River after diving in Montanaso Lombardo, in the province of Lodi. He drowned and was pulled out unconscious by rescuers from the Lodi provincial fire brigade. The rescue helicopter, ambulance and Areu emergency medical service arrived on the scene shortly after 5 p.m., but their efforts were in vain. There was nothing that could be done for the young man. This is the second victim in the Adda in 48 hours after a 16-year-old boy, pulled out by firefighters in Bocchi di Comazzo yesterday, died at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, where he had been transported in critical condition.
