Rome, Aug. 11 (LaPresse) – Anastasia Trofimova, the woman found dead on June 7 in Villa Pamphili park in Rome alongside her newborn daughter Andromeda, is also believed to have been killed — like the baby — by strangulation, presumably by Francis Kaufmann, alias Rexal Ford. This emerges from the autopsy report prepared by Dr. Vincenzo Arena, specialist in Pathological Anatomy at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome and forensic pathologist, which LaPresse has viewed and which supplements the forensic medical assessment by Dr. Gerardo De Masi.
“With regard to the examination of the body of Trofimova Anastasia, histopathological analyses revealed hemorrhagic infiltrations in some samples taken from the anterior soft tissues of the neck, specifically in the peri-hyoid and thyroid anatomical areas,” the report states, noting that these “findings are frequently observed in routine forensic practice in cases of injuries caused by external pressure applied to the neck.” The report further specifies that “based on the specialized medico-legal examinations carried out so far, no additional biological evidence has emerged that would indicate Trofimova’s death was due to natural causes.”
