Trento, Aug 10. (LaPresse) – A "black alert" has been issued on the Brenner Autobahn for the August holiday exodus. Since 8 AM, traffic on the A22 road service has been heavy with long queues in the northbound lanes, from Verona to Trento Nord. In contrast, traffic on the southbound lanes is moving more smoothly. "We are doing our best to maintain high efficiency on the A22, which can accommodate about 3,300 vehicles per hour in each direction," said the highway company. "To ensure smooth traffic flow during the summer, we limit construction work to nighttime hours, regulate access points, and deploy all available resources. Despite our efforts, delays and traffic jams may still occur."
