Milan, 9 August. (LaPresse) – Two doctors have been placed under investigation by the Paola Public Prosecutor's Office in connection with the botulinum food poisoning case in Diamante, in the province of Cosenza. According to reports, the two doctors are professionals at the clinic where the two suspected victims, Luigi Di Sarno and Tamara D'Acunto, sought treatment for their symptoms. The Public Prosecutor's Office, headed by Domenico Fiordalisi, has ordered autopsies on both bodies, which will be performed on Tuesday. “The examinations, aimed at confirming the causes of death and acquiring further elements useful for reconstructing the events, will be carried out by a panel of high technical and scientific experts” composed of five members, according to a statement from the Public Prosecutor's Office.
