Rome, 3 August (LaPresse) – ‘The Youth Jubilee in Tor Vergata has seen well over a million pilgrims.’ These were the words of Rome Prefect Lamberto Giannini during his visit to the large events hall at Rome Police Headquarters. ‘It has been the most intense week of the entire Jubilee, as well as the most impressive event organised in the last 25 years,’ said the capital's police chief, Roberto Massucci. ‘Everything went smoothly,’ he explained, ‘thanks to the extraordinary commitment of 10,000 men and women of the police force, but also to the decisive contribution of volunteers, the Civil Protection Agency and the many young people who enthusiastically took part in this Jubilee event.’
