Vatican City (Vatican), July 29 (LaPresse) – An appeal to repair “networks” and to be “agents of communion, capable of breaking the logics of division and polarization; individualism and egocentrism. Be centered on Christ, to overcome the logics of the world, of fake news, of frivolity, with the beauty and light of Truth.” This was said by Pope Leo XIV to Catholic influencers. The necessity, according to Prevost, today is to “build other networks: networks of relationships, networks of love, networks of free sharing, where friendship is deep. Networks where what has been broken can be mended, where one can heal from loneliness, not counting the number of followers, but experiencing in every encounter the infinite greatness of love. Networks that give space to others more than to oneself, where no ‘bubble’ can cover the voices of the weakest. Networks that liberate, that save. Networks that make us rediscover the beauty of looking into each other’s eyes. Networks of truth. Thus, every story of shared good will be the knot of a single, immense network: the network of networks, the network of God.” At the end, the Pope thanked those present for the “testimony” they offered and before leaving, he stopped with some attendees amidst smiles and handshakes. “How much we need peace in this time torn by enmity and wars. Peace needs to be sought, announced, shared everywhere; both in the dramatic places of war and in the empty hearts of those who have lost the meaning of existence and the taste for interiority, for spiritual life. And today, perhaps more than ever, we need missionary disciples who bring the gift of the Risen One to the world; who give voice to the hope Jesus Living gives us, to the farthest ends of the earth; who reach wherever there is a heart that waits, a heart that seeks, a heart in need. Yes, to the ends of the earth, to the existential boundaries where there is no hope,” added Leo XIV.
