Medicine: 64,825 students enrolled in the open-access semester

Rome, July 28 (LaPresse) – A total of 64,825 students have completed enrollment at universities for the open-access semester, with 54,313 of them choosing Medicine and Surgery.

Starting in the 2025–2026 academic year, the reform promoted by Minister of University and Research Anna Maria Bernini will come into effect. It will eliminate entrance exams and establish an open-access semester, allowing students to enroll freely while also registering for a related degree program.

There are 4,473 students enrolled in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, and 6,039 who have opted for Veterinary Medicine.
