Naples, 19 July (LaPresse) – "Thirty-three years after the Via D'Amelio massacre, the memory of Judge Paolo Borsellino and his escort officers – Agostino Catalano, Emanuela Loi, Vincenzo Li Muli, Walter Eddie Cosina, Claudio Traina – is more alive than ever.‘ These are the words of Defence Minister Guido Crosetto. ’That barbaric attack represents one of the deepest wounds in our republican history. We bow our heads before their example, and that of all the women and men who have fallen in the service of the highest ideals of justice and loyalty to the institutions. Their legacy is a civil and moral heritage that nourishes the values of our coexistence and that every servant of the State is called upon to preserve and promote. Honouring their sacrifice with our daily actions is a duty to the country," concluded Crosetto.
