Ancona, 17 July (LaPresse) – Felix Baumgartner, the 56-year-old Austrian base jumper and skydiver known for his extreme feats, including jumping from the stratosphere, has died. According to initial reports, the 56-year-old suffered a medical emergency while flying his paraglider in Porto Sant'Elpidio, in the province of Fermo, and crashed into a swimming pool. An air ambulance was called from the Torrette hospital in Ancona, but the base jumper was already dead when the emergency services arrived.
