Lucca, July 16 (LaPresse) – "I learned about the arrests in Milan while I was on my way here by car. I won't comment on the details of the investigation," said Justice Minister Carlo Nordio during an appearance at the Versiliana Café in Marina di Pietrasanta (Lucca).

"But I can point out," he added, "that arrest warrants were requested for some of these individuals. Before the reform I pushed through two years ago, these people would have been jailed first and only questioned afterward. With the reform we implemented, we reversed the process to emphasize the presumption of innocence. Today, that reform is being applied to people from parties that were originally against it. I’d be curious to know what they say now."
