Rome, 11 July (LaPresse) – A ‘trace’ amount of DNA has been found on a swab taken from Chiara Poggi 18 years ago and never analysed until now. The DNA does not match that of Alberto Stasi, who was convicted of the girl's murder on 13 August 2007 in Garlasco, in the province of Pavia, nor that of Andrea Sempio, who is under investigation in the new inquiry into the case. The DNA is attributable to contamination.
