Rome, 4 July (LaPresse) – Firefighters continue to work at the scene of an explosion that occurred this morning at a petrol station in Via dei Gordiani, Rome. One of the firefighters who responded to the incident was injured and the other four members of the team are in hospital for checks. Firefighters are still working to extinguish the flames affecting the judicial warehouse behind the petrol station. According to the fire brigade, the fire has been contained and is under control. The Drago 162 helicopter from the Lazio flight department carried out a reconnaissance mission to monitor the area of the explosion. Fifteen teams are at work, including the NIA (Fire Investigation Unit) to analyse and assess the causes of the explosion, the TAS (Topography Applied to Rescue) unit, the USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) team and the SAPR (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) unit.
