Milan, 26 June (LaPresse) – The Milan preliminary hearing judge, Fabrizio Filice, sentenced Fares Bouzidi, the friend of Ramy Elgaml who was driving the scooter on the night of 24 November when the 19-year-old from Corvetto lost his life during a chase with the Milan Carabinieri, to 2 years and 8 months in prison. The request made by prosecutors Marco Cirigliano and Giancarla Serafini at the end of the trial for aggravated resistance, which was held in summary proceedings, was accepted. The judge took 90 days to file the reasons for the sentence. The young man of Tunisian origin was also ordered to pay compensation to the six Carabinieri officers who were civil parties in the proceedings, with damages of €2,000 each. The confiscation of the items seized on the night of the accident was ordered, namely €850 in cash found in the pocket of the young man driving the T-Max who fled for 8 kilometres, and a chain.
