Naples, June 24 (LaPresse) – Further investigations have been ordered by Judge Francesca Colucci of the Naples Court regarding the disappearance of Angela Celentano, the 3-year-old girl who went missing on Mount Faito, near Castellammare di Stabia, on August 10, 1996.

The order for additional inquiries was notified to lawyer Luigi Ferrandino, who represents Angela’s parents, Catello Celentano and Maria Staiano, as well as to lawyer Enrica Visconti, who represents Angela’s sisters, Naomi and Rosa Celentano. It was also sent to the attorney of Vincenza Trentinella, the woman who in 2009 reported having received a confession from a now-deceased priest, claiming the child had been kidnapped and taken to Turkey. According to this account, Angela would still be alive, living on an island near Istanbul with a man she believed to be her father.

Although the Prosecutor’s Office had requested the case be closed, the judge deemed further investigation necessary to clarify the true identity of the young woman indicated by Trentinella.
