Rome, 20 June (LaPresse) – "Paragon is a company that marketed this product as highly effective in intercepting mafia members and terrorists, and it must do so while maintaining absolute confidentiality and secrecy. I wonder, as has been reported, if it is true that they were intercepted, and if so, I deeply regret it and hope that those responsible are prosecuted,‘ ’if the interception was so easy to trace, are we sure that some terrorist or mafia member was not warned?" This was stated by the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, speaking at the Taormina International Book Festival. ‘This company should have provided a product that was absolutely crystal clear, impenetrable and secure from the point of view of the people legally presumed to be targeted by this interception activity,’ the Interior Minister pointed out. ‘Now the same company reveals that it was a very weak system and therefore interceptable by third parties. This, I say, is the first thing that many questions have not been asked about.’
