Milan, June 18 (LaPresse) – “Yesterday, two Jewish boys, aged 18 and 15, were beaten, robbed, and insulted with antisemitic slurs outside a synagogue. Antisemitism is becoming increasingly intolerable in our city,” said Daniele Nahum, city councillor for the Azione party. “Together with several colleagues (with the first proposal submitted by Alessandro De Chirico), we requested a special City Council session to be held at a Jewish venue to discuss the issue of antisemitism in Milan. So far, we have received no response. I truly don’t understand the hesitation, and I will repeat the request at the next Council meeting, because city institutions must send a strong message against antisemitism,” Nahum added.
