Milan, 4 June (LaPresse) – "Martina died at the hands of violence. She died at the hands of a young man who was unable to cope with rejection, with limits, with freedom, taking away not only Martina's future but also his own! Martina died because of a sick idea of love. An idea that is still too widespread, too tolerated, too silent." These were the words of Don Mimmo Battaglia, Archbishop of Naples, during his homily at the funeral of Martina Carbonaro, the 14-year-old girl killed by her ex-boyfriend, Alessio Tucci, 18, who confessed to the murder.
