Bologna, June 2 (LaPresse) – The flatmate of Luca Gombi and Luca Monaldi, the two men found dead this morning after a stabbing in an apartment in Piazza dell’Unità, Bologna, has been located and arrested in Barcelona, Spain. The man is believed to be the suspected perpetrator of the double homicide. The police headquarters confirmed the arrest in a statement, following an intense investigation coordinated by the public prosecutor’s office and supported by the Central Operations Service and the International Police Cooperation Service. The bodies of Gombi, 50, and Monaldi, 54, were found around 8 a.m., after a neighbor alerted the authorities upon hearing screams. Gombi, born in Bologna, was found disemboweled, with an abdominal wound that caused his intestines to spill out, while Monaldi, originally from Arezzo, had his throat slit. Both victims had no criminal records.
