Know that you are role models for young people all over the world. Cycling is very important, as is all sport. You are role models. I hope that as you take care of your bodies, you also take care of your spirits. May God bless you." These were the words of Pope Leo XIV as he greeted the cyclists of the Giro d'Italia who arrived at the Vatican to pay tribute to Pope Francis, who passed away on 21 April.
