Naples, May 30 (LaPresse) – Alessio Tucci, the 18-year-old who confessed to the murder of 14-year-old Martina Carbonaro, remains in custody following the tragic killing in Afragola on the evening of May 26. The judge for preliminary investigations (GIP) at the Naples North Court, after the confirmation hearing held this morning at Poggioreale prison in Naples, signed an order placing the young man in pre-trial detention. The judge upheld the precautionary measure provided by the arrest warrant issued by the Naples North prosecutor for aggravated voluntary homicide—also due to cruelty—and concealment of a corpse. The warrant was carried out on the morning of May 28, following Tucci’s confession.
