Rome, May 17 (LaPresse) – "I believe that at a book and culture fair everyone should be able to speak. No one has the moral authority to decide who should be silent and who should speak. I was told not to pass in front of the Rai stand because there were pro-Palestinian protesters. I passed by because I see nothing wrong with either passing by or demonstrating," said Defense Minister Guido Crosetto during a visit to the Turin Book Fair.
"No one said anything to me, but if someone had expressed their opinion civilly, even if they disagreed with mine, it wouldn’t have bothered me. I would have smiled, thanked them, and kept my own view. I accept anything. However, they should remember that in these days, as in other days, dozens of Palestinian children have arrived thanks to the Defense Ministry."
"Italian policy has always been unwaveringly on the side of the Palestinians," Crosetto concluded, "men, women, and children who have suffered undeserved violence."
