Milan, May 13 (LaPresse) – "The persistence of the seismic swarm, which in two months has registered three tremors clearly felt by the population, suggests the need to declare a national state of emergency in the Campi Flegrei area." This was stated by the Minister for Civil Protection and Maritime Policies, Nello Musumeci, following a summit held in Rome, which included the head of the Civil Protection Department, Fabio Ciciliano, the head of the Prevention and Reconstruction Department of Casa Italia, Luigi Ferrara, the Cabinet Chief, Riccardo Rigillo, and the head of the Legislative Office, Francesco De Luca. "The measure," the minister clarified, "would essentially aim to ensure, under extraordinary conditions, the acceleration of procedures already underway, defined by various laws enacted by the Meloni government in the last year and a half in relation to the ongoing seismic risk in the Campi Flegrei, related to bradyseism. I will therefore ask the president of the Campania Region for the necessary agreement before bringing the proposal to the Council of Ministers."
