Rome, 10 May (LaPresse) – Pope Leo XIV is now in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore to pray before the icon of Maria Salus Populi Romani and the tomb of Pope Francis, who is buried there. The Pontiff, who will take possession of the papal basilica on 25 May, had previously visited the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Genazzano.
