Milan, May 1 (LaPresse) – No alternative proposal to that of Inter and Milan has been submitted to the Municipality of Milan regarding San Siro. This was confirmed by Palazzo Marino at the close of the public notice, which expired Wednesday at midnight, for the collection of expressions of interest concerning the real estate complex of the Urban Major Function (GFU) 'San Siro', including the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. The call for proposals aimed to verify whether any improved proposals existed compared to the one submitted by the two clubs on March 11, regarding the regeneration of the San Siro area, the construction of a new stadium, the repurposing of the current facility, and the development of a revitalization plan.
“Since no alternative proposal was received,” stated the City, “the work of the interdepartmental task force and the Services Conference continues in order to finalize the technical evaluation process (in accordance with the 'Stadium Law'), following the guidelines set by the Administration. Should the Services Conference produce a positive outcome, the contents of the draft contract proposed by the clubs will be assessed and then negotiated.”
