Naples, 19 Apr (LaPresse) – The State Police have arrested one of the alleged perpetrators of the June 2023 burglary at the home of former Juventus footballer Kaio Jorge in Turin. He is a man of Moldavian citizenship, against whom the police executed a pre-trial detention order, issued by the gip of the Court of Turin, for aggravated burglary in the home, receiving stolen goods and money laundering. According to what has been reconstructed, the man, together with other unidentified accomplices, after breaking the window of a villa in the pre-hillside area of Turin, where the Brazilian player, who was absent from the house at the time, was living, took possession of goods and jewellery worth approximately EUR 80,000, and then stole the player's luxury car. Two days later, the vehicle was used for a robbery in a branch of a bank in Turin. On that occasion, the man and other accomplices, all hooded, after blocking the road, using force belts attached to one of the vehicles, uprooted the door of the branch and, subsequently, a safe containing approximately 11,500 euro. The fugitives were intercepted by a squad car and, after a short chase, abandoned the van with the safe inside.
