Rome, April 15 (LaPresse) – A major operation by the Carabinieri of Naples has dealt a heavy blow to two Neapolitan clans. Investigations revealed that the Camorra also had control over illegal parking attendants and mooring services.
Since the early hours of the morning, Carabinieri from the provincial command of Naples have been executing a precautionary measure issued by the investigating judge (GIP) of the Naples Court, at the request of the local Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA), against 24 suspects.
They are strongly suspected of belonging to two mafia-type organizations, the Troncone and Frizziero clans, operating in the western districts of the city and in Chiaia. These groups are involved in drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons, extortion, and cigarette smuggling.
