Rome, April 10 (LaPresse) – As of April 1st, prostitution, falling under "Meeting services and similar events," now has its own Ateco code, which is the number used by Istat to classify economic activities for statistical purposes. But what does the code '96.99.92' include? Activities connected to social life, such as escort services, dating agencies, marriage agencies, the provision or organization of sexual services, the organization of prostitution events, or the management of prostitution venues; the organization of meetings and other speed networking activities. This revelation was made by the online newspaper Open, which discovered it in the list – among the 'other various personal services' – drawn up by Istat, effective from January 1st but only operational from the beginning of this month.
