Rome, Apr 2 (LaPresse) – Filipino young man Marc Samson has confessed to the murder of Ilaria Sula. The 23-year-old admitted to stabbing her during a heated argument that started in an apartment on Via Homes 16 in the African Quarter of Rome. Sula’s body was found in a ravine in the municipality of Capranica Prenestina, not in Poli, as initially reported after the grim discovery. The victim, originally from Terni, shared an apartment with other students on Via Tiburtina 86 in San Lorenzo. The 22-year-old's body was taken to the Verano Institute of Forensic Medicine in Rome. The public prosecutor’s office in Rome has ordered the seizure of the apartment where the young woman was allegedly murdered. "The news of Ilaria Sula's death fills us with sorrow and anger. My deepest condolences go to her family and friends, and to all of Rome. Her death is a terrible wound for the entire city, which cannot remain indifferent to yet another unacceptable femicide," said Rome's mayor Roberto Gualtieri in a statement.
