This was announced by AC Monza, the team Izzo plays for, in a press release. ‘The events date back to a match in the 2013-2014 Serie B championship, when the player was wearing the Avellino shirt – explains the Lombardy club – After almost 10 years of trial, the judges of the Court of Appeal of Naples have ruled that Armando Izzo did not commit the crime of sports fraud aggravated by the mafia method for having contributed to the fixing of the Modena-Avellino Serie B football match on 17.05.2014.
