Turin, baby in shopping bag from Morocco to Italy to be sold

Rome, March 18 (LaPresse) – Brought by ship from Morocco to Italy, hidden in a shopping bag to be sold. A dramatic journey that caused health problems, requiring her to be taken to the hospital. This is what happened to a newborn, according to investigations by the Turin police, who, under the order of the prosecutor, detained a Moroccan couple and arrested two other fellow nationals. The first couple is severely suspected of illegally bringing the newborn into Italy from Morocco, exposing her to life-threatening danger. The second pair is accused of aiding and abetting and was arrested in the act: in their home, they were temporarily hosting the baby, who is now doing well. She had been handed over by the mother to the woman in the arrested couple, presumably to be sold to a third family.
