Rome, 9 Mar (LaPresse) – On Friday the Sea-Eye 4 returned to sea, and the joint crews of Sea-Watch, Sea-Eye and Mediterranea rescued 42 people from an overcrowded boat. ‘In the past few hours, while heading north, we found and rescued three other boats in distress under the coordination of MRCC Rome,’ reads a note from the NGO. ’We now have 122 people on board, including several women and children. We are taking them to Pozzallo, the new safe port assigned to us by the Italian authorities, which we expect to reach tonight at 2am'.
